About Angeliki Coletsou

Angeliki Coletsou is a PhD candidate at Ionian University in Greece and a member of the German Middle East Studies Association for Contemporary Research and Documentation (DAVO). Her doctoral research explores Western discursive portrayals of Iran, focusing on the socio-political dynamics shaping these representations. She holds a Master’s degree in Language, Politics, and Intercultural Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies from the same university. 

Her research interests include critical discourse analysis in the Middle East, media and representation studies, post-colonial studies, post-racial discourse, populism in Europe & the US, and critical culture theory.
