Mariana Zorkina is a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. Her research focuses on premodern Chinese systems of knowledge organisation and the production of encyclopedias. She is also interested in experimenting with data science tools that are not yet widely used in digital humanities.
Before joining the Digital Orientalist team, she served as editor-in-chief of the Russian online digital humanities publication Sysblok and as a member of the communications team at the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations.
