About Muntaha El-Mumin

Muntaha El-Mumin is an aspiring archivist and researcher whose work explores the intersections of cultural heritage, national identity, and digital preservation. She is currently pursuing an MLitt in Archives and Records Management at the University of Dundee, having previously completed a MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). El-Mumin has worked with the Qatar National Library’s Heritage Collection, Qatar Museums and the Doha Film Institute, and other cultural institutions. She is currently completing her dissertation, which examines the presentation of the Sudanese cultural identity in digitally accessible archives. She intends to extend this research to explore the representation, preservation and accessibility of audiovisual and literary heritage across Africa and the Middle East.
