About Raúl Cervera Álvarez

Raúl Cervera Álvarez is a graduate in History from the University of Barcelona (UB), with a specialization in Japanese Studies. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Global Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He is currently a doctoral researcher at the University of Barcelona, where he is working on his PhD dissertation, with an academic collaboration with Keio University (Keio Daigaku) in Japan. His research interests focus on pre-modern Japanese history, especially the Azuchi–Momoyama and Edo periods and the Christian Mission (1549-1639).
