Details of a scan job

I sometimes post details of scans that I did.

Machine: Xerox WorkCentre 5665

Preferences: Contrast and Brightness to high.

Filesize: one job small, one job normal.

Format: both 8,5″ x 11″

Product: One book in two batches, total of 72 scans, file size 2,5mb.

One book in 6 batches, total of 203 scans, file size 5,2mb.

Time: this time I cannot give a precise estimate but let me give you something else.

• It took me 15 minutes to get to the library.
• It took me 45 minutes to look at four books and decide to scan two of them.
• It took me 15 minutes to get back.
• It took me 10 minutes of editing (stitching them together, cutting off black edges, renaming file).

So in all it took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
