New posts are as of now also announced on the Twitter account @DigiOrientalist . So far the main method of distribution was a post on the Facebook page of The Digital Orientalist. Facebook is actually a difficult way to publish, as FB is constantly demanding money for this and has algorithms in place to throttle down the number of viewers if you do not pay up (and I never have and never will pay). It is a side of FB that you do not see as a regular user, but once you moderate a page you will find out quickly enough. Twitter, on the other hand, does not hold back content creation but actually fosters it. Its business model is based on distribution of tweets, so the more the merrier.
Also, welcome to the new academic year! A new post every Monday…
