We are seeking candidates for the position of Social Media Manager, who would be running our current social media accounts (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, IG) as well as developing The Digital Orientalist’s online presence (BlueSky and YouTube). As we try to expand our online presence, we welcome candidates with a specific focus (e.g., are you great at Twitter but unfamiliar with Facebook? That’s fine! Tell us in the application form, and we will take it from there). Other tasks include:
- Creating visual content
- Shaping the DO newsletter
- Promoting interactions among DO contributors on Discord
We are seeking self-motivated people who want to use this occasion to experiment with social media engagement, in a friendly environment. Time commitment per week is around 2 hrs (this may vary depending on the number of successful applicants).
