About Edward A. S. Ross

Edward A. S. Ross completed his PhD in Classics at the University of Reading and holds a BA (Hons) in Asian Religions and Classics from McGill University and a MBuddhStud from the University of Hong Kong.

Edward is currently working as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Classics at the University of Reading. He also is a Co-Investigator on the iGAIAS project, investigating the impact of generative artificial intelligence on ancient world studies.

Edward’s research interests include ancient religious diversity, the movement of Buddhism into the Hellenistic and Roman East, religious self-sacrifice, uses of AI in ancient world studies, and Buddhism in North America.
