About Enes Yılandiloğlu

Enes Yılandiloğlu is a research assistant in Digital Humanities at the University of Helsinki. His research focuses on the 18th-century British travel writing to the Orient, Orientalism. Additionally, he is interested in curating datasets and developing tools for Digital Ottoman Turkish Studies. Currently, his work examines how geographic knowledge about the ‘Orient’ is represented in British and Ottoman Turkish texts, using named-entity recognition (NER) and deep mapping.
