About Özge Eda Kaya

Özge Eda Kaya completed her undergraduate degree in history at Istanbul Şehir University. She completed her master’s degree in Marmara University Department of Urban Studies with her thesis titled “Social-Spatial Analysis of an Istanbul Neighbourhood in the XIXth Century: Molla Aşki Neighbourhood”. Currently she is continuing her PhD at Istanbul Medeniyet University on the social and spatial analysis of the 19th-century Istanbul neighborhoods through the 1875 cadastral surveys (esas-ı emlak registers). Her main research interests include Ottoman urban history, social life in the Ottoman Empire, cadastral practices in the Ottoman Empire, and digital history studies.
