Wishing you a fantastic summer

The Digital Orientalist will go on hiatus for July and August, and will return as usual at the beginning of September. We want to extend our thanks to all our readers, new and old, and to our team of editors for making the academic year 2019-2020 a huge success! We are also thankful to American Oriental Society of which we have been an arm for the past academic year. This year, we have seen increases in our readership, in involvement in our projects such as the Digital Orientalisms Twitter Conference 2020, in our writing output, and in the breadth of the topics that we cover. We are very happy that we can continue being part of the conversation on computer technology in African, Middle Eastern, and Asian Studies, and in the humanities more generally.

We hope you all have a fantastic summer and we look forward to seeing you all in September! And, if you are interested in becoming part of the Digitial Orientalist‘s team please remember to check out our open call for new editors and contributors!

Stay safe!
